‘You can see straight into this public bathroom,’ Ms Betts said when she uploaded the video to TikTok.

‘Let me just tell you I was a little bit nervous to go to the bathroom in Japan because I didn’t want anyone watching me.

‘But as soon as you lock the door the glass closes over and nobody can see in.’

‘It did feel kinda weird though, would you use it?’ she asked her followers.

She joked that she ‘wouldn’t want it to malfunction’.

The majority of her followers said they would not be keen to try out the ‘risky’ toilets.

‘No. I’d never trust these things,’ one woman said.

‘Then it clears up due to a bug in software,’ another joked.

‘I saw these while I was in Japan and despite how much I needed to go, I went to the station instead,’ another wrote.

‘I’d be so scared,’ another commented.

‘I went in one of those and forgot to lock it,’ one woman hilariously admitted.

Ms Betts has been documenting her journey in Japan, particularly the food she eats and the cost difference.

She visited a Japanese McDonalds and bought everything you can’t purchase in Australian McDonalds.

The dishes included a shrimp burger, shaker chicken, an edamame and corn side dish, white grape juice, karubi burger, roasted soy sauce bacon and beef burger, melon McFloat, garlic pepper chicken, chocolate piece and a teriyaki chicken burger.

The young Aussie also raved about 7/11 Japan where she got food that would have cost $30 in Australia for only $10.

She started off with a corndog, then had ice-cream balls, wine in a can, a microwaveable burger, onigiri sushi, and cheesecake.

‘Australia could never,’ she said after finishing her cheap 7/11 meal.
