Sarah Jessica Parker with husband Matthew Broderick and their twins

Sarah Jessica Parker has been filming her Sex And The City in New York City for the past several weeks with co-stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis.

But this weekend the veteran actress, 56, took a break from work as she spent time on the beach in the Hamptons on New York’s Long Island.

The blonde beauty was spotted in a black one piece swimsuit as she worked on her suntan with her husband Mathew Broderick by her side. Also seen were their twin daughters, Tabitha and Marion, aged 12.

The stylish swimsuit showed off Sarah’s incredible figure as she had a small waistline and sculpted arms.

The Hocus Pocus star also had a deep glow as she has been working on her tan all summer.

The TV favorite – who has also starred on the series Divorce – had her dirty blonde hair up as she modeled black sunglasses.

At one point she was seen spraying sunscreen on her toned legs. She also held up a black book as she lay down on her back with a boogie board next to her.

This comes after news the reboot is going ‘so well’ that Parker is positioning the limited run to become a multi-season series, a senior production source exclusively revealed to DailyMail.com this week.

Production so far on And Just Like That has been a resounding success, the source said, and since fan response has been overwhelmingly positive, executive producers Michael Patrick King and SJP are angling for more than the originally planned 10-episode run.

With a second season ‘expected to be announced soon’ by HBO Max, ‘the door is open’ for Kim Cattrall to return as Samantha Jones, the source added.

And Just Like That was initially billed as a 10 episode series to air on HBO Max which follows the main characters (minus Cattrall) as they navigate middle-aged life in New York City.

‘Michael (executive producer, director and writer) and SJP have plans for this to be more than a limited ten episode run on HBO Max, so expect to see a second season announced soon,’ the senior production source said.

More episodes could entice Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones, to return after she refused to join the reboot.

‘There was obviously a concern that people would miss Kim and not be engaged but the response so far has been phenomenal,’ the source said. ‘And for fans of Kim, the door is open for her to return. If she ever changes her mind, she can come back.’

They added: ‘The ladies love and value her and would love to see her on the new show. The whole point of this series is to show that friendships evolve and change over time, so Kim is always welcome to come home.’

‘If Kim’s reps called us now and said she was available – we’d book her on the first flight to New York. There’s still time,’ the source continued.

Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker played the best of friends for years on the original series but their relationship in real life was frosty at best.

DailyMail.com previously reported that the Samantha Jones character will be written out of the Sex and the City reboot in the same way that her real-life friendship with Sarah Jessica Parker ended.

Samantha will be written off as ‘having had her friendship move in a different direction to the other three women.’

Filming on And Just Like That began earlier this summer with stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis seen in their eye-popping ensembles taping all around the borough of Manhattan.

‘Filming is going exceptionally well,’ the senior production source said. ‘The response on the streets of Manhattan has been unbelievable – yet a little bit challenging.’

‘The production really is a tribute to New York when the city needs it most, with the goal to bring positivity and life back to the Big Apple,’ they added. ‘This is something that everyone, especially SJP and Cynthia, are passionate about so they want as much location filming as possible.’

Due to the nature of filming around the city and the massive amount of fan excitement over the limited series, production has been a bit of a headache.

‘Michael (executive producer, director and writer) and SJP have plans for this to be more than a limited ten episode run on HBO Max, so expect to see a second season announced soon,’ the senior production source said

‘This isn’t a show that can be done on a closed’ set.

New York City is a central character so it has to be featured. This means anyone can stop by and see the show being filmed,’ the source revealed.

The popularity is good and bad, however, since the crowds are a clear sign that fans are here for the reboot and will likely be thrilled to learn there will be a season two.

‘Every time we film with the cast, screaming fans show up and whip out their cell phones and record. It makes it very difficult to keep the storyline and guest stars under wraps,’ the source explained.

Nearly all of the key players have signed on for the reboot. Aside from the three main stars, DailyMail.com previously broke the news that Big [Chris Noth], along with John Corbett and David Eigenberg who played Aiden and Steve, respectively, had signed on for the iconic revival.

Noth played Carrie Bradshaw’s main on-again-off-again-on-again love interest, Mr. Big throughout the series. As of the second film sequel, the pair were still married.

Grey’s Anatomy star Sara Ramirez will join the Cosmo-drinking trio for the reboot playing non-binary character Che Diaz.

Like the character, the Mexican-American actor, 45, also uses gender-neutral pronouns, and their character has been described as ‘a nonbinary, queer stand-up comedian who hosts a podcast on which Carrie Bradshaw is regularly featured.’

‘This series is so good that it can stand on its own two feet. You don’t have to have watched a single episode or movie to tune in, the story is relevant to everyone,’ the insider told DailyMail.com.

And Just Like That is slated to premiere on HBO Max in late 2021. DailyMail.com has reached out to HBO Max and the network did not confirm or comment.
