The 43-year-old sported a white tank top and denim short shorts, as she posed for a mirror selfie before going through hair and makeup.

She posted another selfie, as her face mask-clad glam team got to work on her already gorgeous mug, writing: ‘Safety first.’

Gellar later showed off the finished look, complete with a blue and yellow floral boho chic sundress and a pair of nude strappy stilettos, as she mused: ‘Unsure though how I feel about wearing heels for the first time.’

The Cruel Intentions star also gave a glimpse at some of the safety precautions in place, including a glass barrier between herself and the crew.

‘I can not begin to tell you how incredible it felt to be back in the creative environment that I love. (Even though I way prefer acting to having my pic taken) It was incredible to see all the precautions that were taken, but more than that, to see that there is a way back.’

The Buffy the Vampire Slayer star continued: ‘More than ever I realize entertainment holds an important place in giving us a way to escape from the scary reality we are currently living in.

‘I hope every day, that we can take this virus seriously, and use every precaution we can, so that we can all move past this time. I miss hugging my friends. #staysafe (although this morning I’m realizing that it was also the first time I’ve worn heels since February, boy am I hurting)’

Gellar has been advocating for social distancing and other precautions, while isolating with husband Freddie Prinze Jr, 44, daughter Charlotte Grace, 10, and son Rocky James, seven.
