Sarah Palin’s son Track seen mopping up at a Salvation Army thrift store for community service

Exclusive footage show Sarah Palin’s son Track doing community service at a Salvation Army thrift store.

The 29-year-old was sentenced to unpaid work after breaking into his childhood home and beating up his dad Todd, 54, so severely it left him bleeding from the head.

Police arrested Track – the son of the 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin – following the attack last December.

But he was let off with a slap on the wrist after admitting misdemeanor criminal trespass for breaking into his childhood home as part of a plea deal.

Prosecutors dismissed a felony charge of burglary and misdemeanor charges of assault and criminal mischief.

It meant Palin, an Army veteran who served a year in Iraq, could take part in Alaska Veterans Court, a therapeutic rehab program.

A source revealed that as part of the program – which involves treatment and court monitoring – he worked three shifts at the Salvation Army goodwill store in Wasilla, Alaska, last month.

They said: ‘His community service was cleaning bathrooms, sweeping floors and picking up and hanging clothes.

‘He also has to go to classes several times a week and has court hearings.

‘I think people would be surprised. It’s almost incognito – it’s not picking up trash on the highway.’

Track Palin was arrested on December 16 after breaking into his parents’ house and assaulting his father in a row over a truck.

An incident report included in Palin’s charging documents reveals that he broke into his family home through a window after being told by Todd he was not welcome, and then began to hit his father over the head.

Todd had tried to keep his son out by meeting him at the door and pointing a gun at him, but Track was able to disarm him and ‘put him on the floor’ before beating him bloody.

Sarah told police her son was ‘freaking out and was on some type of medication’.

He was sentenced at Anchorage Veterans Court in June.

When Track successfully completes the Anchorage Veterans Court program his plea to a Class A misdemeanor will be withdrawn and will be allowed to plead to a Class B misdemeanor of criminal trespass with a maximum sentence of ten days in jail.

He will also be subjected to weekly urine tests, court dates and have to undergo intense counseling for at least nine months as part of the Anchorage Veterans Court program.

Palin served in Iraq with the US Army, assigned to the armored Stryker brigade based in Fairbanks.

In January, the mother of Track’s son broke her silence to DailyMailTV about the domestic violence she suffered after he choked her when she was seven months pregnant and attacked her while she held their weeks-old baby.

Jordan Loewe, 25, who has a young son, Charlie, with Track filed for a change in custody, saying: ‘I filed for a change in our custody because there has been a change in circumstances.

‘Track filed in opposition, saying this event did not involve Charlie and me and he is still a fine and capable father.

‘This isn’t about Charlie, this is about Track being able to say he’s a dad and he didn’t lose custody.’

Jordan who detailed the abuse she suffered from for nearly two years at the hand of Track credits her family, close friends and two years of intensive counselling to getting her where she is today.

Jordan also shared chilling phone calls from Track with DailyMailTV.

In one call from 2016, Track says: ‘Obviously, if you’re coming out here, and you’re going to bring anybody else out here, then your person who you’re going to bring out here is a hostile intent, and I’m going to treat him like a hostile intent I’m going to put him in the ground. I’m going to bury him.’

Jordan told DailyMailTV: ‘This is a violent person. This is a really dangerous, unstable person. I started recording him and saving every voicemail he left me.’

Jordan revealed the physical assaults, harassment and psychological torture she endured as her ex awaits trial for assaulting his father at the Palin family compound in Wasilla, Alaska last month.
