Sarah Snook displays her baby bump in bright orange pleated dress

She confirmed her pregnancy last night at the premiere of Succession’s final season.

And Sarah Snook continued to proudly showcase her baby bump as she stopped by the Today show on Tuesday morning.

The actress, 35, was a vision of springtime fashion in a bright orange dress which flowed over her blossoming midsection.

She was glowing with happiness as she departed the studio with a tangerine hued blazer thrown over her dress and her feet slipped into kitten heels.

Speaking on Today, Snook, who is expecting her first child with husband Dave Lawson, revealed she is due in mid-May and doesn’t plan on learning the child’s gender until she gives birth.

While Snook admitted it can be challenging not knowing the gender, she said: ‘It’s also easy, you just sort of block it out. Don’t think about it too much.’

Snook will be returning to small screens later this week as Shiv Roy in season four of Succession, which will be concluding after the end of its upcoming installment.

Snook re-iterated the cast were unaware season four would be the last until a read-through of episode 10, however it had been implied throughout shooting that would be the case.

‘It was intimated throughout the season as we were shooting, they were like, “It could be the last, we don’t know,” and then we found out during the read through of episode 10 that yeah, it would be the last.’

Snook expressed surprise as she talked ending the show at it’s peak, calling it a ‘bold decision’ to axe it now.

‘It’s a pretty bold decision to go out on a high. I don’t know any other show that’s really done that. Like, “Oh we’re really successful, everyone loves the show, we love doing it. Let’s cut it.”‘

She also didn’t anticipate it to become as successful as it did when she was first cast.

‘No, not at all. No, it’s been an incredible ride and it’s strange that there’s only four seasons because I feel like we’ve been doing it, we have been doing it since 2016. It’s almost seven years. Been only four seasons of that.’

Snook, an Australian, also described having to tackle an American accent for the show.

‘Sometimes it takes a little to get into and I know Matthew and I have certain days, cause he’s British surprise, we do slip and slide a little bit and there’s been jokes about how we can’t say New York in an American accent.’

She also gave her take on the epic Roy family feud.

Asked if she believed the Roy siblings were better off battling it out with their father together or if it was ‘every man and woman for themselves,’ she replied: ‘That’s the thing, it creates a great tension and great drama.

‘Cause we haven’t seen the siblings united, and so having a season where at the beginning the premise is they gonna be having to work together. That’s going to set up some tricky situations.’

Snook also reacted to remarks made by Brian Cox, her on-screen father, who said he felt his character’s favorite child was Shiv.

Snook said she was not surprised to hear that: ‘I’m the one with the nickname!’ she pointed out.

She also described how her romance with husband Dave flourished during the pandemic.

The duo were initially just friends when they started locking down together before their ‘special’ connection dawned on them.

‘I got stuck in Australia and had nowhere to live, and I ended up living with him and it was one of those things where you’re sort of realizing, “Oh we’re having a lot of fun.” Like we’re having too much fun just like playing games, totally platonic, like living together.

‘And you know, there’s chaos going around in the world outside and like, this is really special? We’re having so much fun and you know, no one really should be cheering we’re having another six weeks of lockdown, when the premier says, “Alright, we’re going to have to stay inside for another six weeks.” We’re like, “Yes! This is going to be great!”‘
