Retired footballer Sam appears to have several projects in the works after winning SAS Australia earlier this year.

Sam and former Labor senator Sam Dastyari were spotted lunching together on Friday at Justin Hemmes’ CBD brasserie Felix, according to The Daily Telegraph.

There’s speculation that the meeting between the two could be in relation to a possible television project.

It was also revealed that Burgess had been retained by Channel 7 for another TV series after appearing on SAS Australia.

But according to the publication, sources dismissed claims the pair would be appearing on Big Brother VIP.

A TV project between the pair is a potential possibility since both men have appeared on reality TV shows.

Dastyari starred on season five of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in 2019.

Burgess, meanwhile, appeared on the latest season of SAS Australia and was the only celebrity recruit to pass final selection during the finale of the hit series.

However, two sources have since revealed to Daily Mail Australia that the NRL star was given preferential treatment during the series.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph last month, an insider alleged that producers ‘had the Sam Burgess redemption story narrative in their heads’ from day one.
