  • Evgeniya Levina caught the animal on camera and said it was posing for her 
  • She added: ‘I always enjoy photographing animals, it gives me lots of energy’ 

Reaching into the air with its tongue out in concentration, this hungry squirrel looks more like it’s dancing than foraging for food. 

The animal was spotted foraging for nuts in a Russian forest and was snapped by photographer, Evgeniya Levina. 

The 47-year-old, from the Sakha Republic, said: ‘I had a feeling that the squirrel was dancing when I was shooting it but when I saw the shots at home I was absolutely sure it had been dancing.

‘It was “posing” for me for about 15 minutes and I managed to get a lot of shots. I always enjoy photographing animals, it gives me lots of energy.’
