Savannah Daisley, Smart Cleanse founder, rebrands while on bail for alleged sex with boy, 14

A celebrity naturopath and horse breeding heiress accused of having drunken sex with a 14-year-old boy four times in one day is rebranding her multi million-dollar detox empire while on bail.

Savannah Daisley, 45, was released from Silverwater Women’s Correctional Centre in early August after being charged in June with four counts of aggravated sexual intercourse with a child, aged between 14 and 16, in May last year.

Part of the mother-of-two’s bid for bail in Sydney’s Downing Centre Local Court was so she could work on ‘rebranding … a new product’ in her Smart Cleanse range while residing with her parents at their lavish Southern Highlands ranch.

Daisley, who strenuously denies the charges, removed most of her social media accounts in the days following her arrest and took a brief Instagram hiatus while behind bars, applying for bail, and presumably settling into life with her parents.

However, the alleged child sex offender was back on the ‘gram in early September to let her fans know that her rebranded detox kits would be available from October – alongside a photo of her clutching a garbage bag brimming with orders.

Daisley’s case was mentioned in Manly Local Court on Wednesday, but the matter was adjourned to next month. She was formally excused from making an appearance.

In the Instagram post, uploaded on September 6, she wrote: ‘Love stepping in sometimes and doing some order fulfilment to help our logistics team.

‘Connects me to my customers, my mission and why I started Smart Cleanse.

‘Love most of all helping you transform your health, clear your mind, reset your gut, get rid of bloating, increase energy, sleep better, intercept insulin resistance and excess weight, reverse disease and achieve your goals and dreams.’

She said that nothing aside from her two children, family and friends, makes her ‘more happy’ than helping others achieve their wellness dreams, and implored her 40,000 followers to buy her products.

Smart Cleanse is a 14-day program comprising capsules and powers that, according to the website, promise to detoxify clients’ bodies, eliminate stress, shed kilos, and ‘reverse ageing’.

Clients itching to lose weight and ‘detox their bodies’ have to fork out $199.95 for a 14-day starter pack.

Daisley limited the followers who were allowed to comment on the post, but the select few who could told the heiress she was ‘looking great’ and that they were considering buying more detox kits.

In July, she secured access visits to her children as a bail variation condition after winning her release from Silverwater Women’s Correctional Centre, before she celebrated her son’s eighth birthday.

‘I will never live my best life without my kids because they are the best part of my life,’ she wrote on social media.

Police arrested Daisley six days after placing a listening device warrant on a phone call between her and the alleged victim.

The call was tendered during her bail application in a police sting more than a year after officers alleged she had drunken sex four times in one day with the teenager.

A court heard in July that the mother-of-two, who had been ‘regularly blacking out because of alcohol she consumed’, said to the boy in the call that the alleged acts ‘should be confined to the depths of the ocean in a chest’.

The influencer’s lawyer, Gabrielle Bashir, said his client risked losing ‘millions of dollars’ from her business while locked up.

Ms Bashir told the court Ms Daisley’s mother has ovarian cancer, and that her family could offer up $100,000 as a surety while supervising her reporting to police while on bail.

Police prosecutor Sergeant Kerry-Ann McKinnon alleged that during the tapped call, Ms Daisley ‘attempts to shift the blame’.

‘She suggests it was mutual…  and what the potential ramifications are going to be.

‘She’s guilt-tripping this child. Reminds the child of what the agreement was in respect of keeping it under wraps.

‘Puts it in a kind of story-like, fairytale situation… how it is going to go away and never come back.’

While in jail, she complained that her mental health was deteriorating and instead of returning to her $10million waterfront mansion in Sydney’s lower north shore, she was ordered to live under strict bail conditions with her parents.

Daisley’s father is the famous horse breeder Ross Daisley, who raced renowned thoroughbred Choisir at Royal Ascot.

Her products now sell across Australia after she secured deals with pharmacy giant Priceline in 2018, and with supplement giant Mr Vitamin in 2020.

She launched the company in 2014 and quickly attracted a celebrity following, including Neighbours star Jodi Gordon, who featured in a video testimonial for Smart Cleanse in June 2021 – spruiking the program as her ‘health and beauty secret’.

Daisley’s case will be mentioned in Sydney’s Downing Centre next month.
