Schapelle Corby debuts huge diamond ring as she goes baby shopping amid pregnancy rumours

Congratulations in order? Schapelle Corby, 42, debuts huge diamond ring as she goes baby shopping… amid rumours she’s expecting her first child

Schapelle Corby is currently rumoured to be expecting her first child.

And it appears the 42-year-old, who spent almost a decade behind bars in Indonesia for drug smuggling, may also be engaged too.

On August 7, the brunette debuted a huge diamond ring on her wedding finger while shopping for baby supplies at a Kmart store in Brisbane.

Last Monday, New Idea first reported that the former felon was ‘pregnant and engaged’, but it is yet to be confirmed by Schapelle.

In the pictures, Schapelle is seen carrying children’s clothes, a plastic bathtub and several blankets while browsing the shop’s baby section.

Tellingly, she also placed a protective hand over her stomach at one point, but no ‘baby bump’ was visible due to the baggy jumper she was wearing.

During the outing, Schapelle also flashed a diamond ring on her wedding finger, fueling rumours she could possibly be getting married soon.

The former beauty student is in a long-term relationship with Ben Panangian, an Indonesian surfer she first met at Kerobokan Prison in 2006.

In March, Schapelle told Woman’s Day that she and Ben, 38, were trying for a baby.

At the time, she claimed they were ‘hoping to become pregnant’ while on holiday in Thailand. This trip eventually took place in April.

The couple only spend ‘two precious weeks a year together’ because Ben is unable to enter Australia due to his criminal record.

Schapelle can return to Indonesia if she chooses, but does not feel ‘comfortable’ doing so yet.

Instead, she and Ben meet in countries where visas are not required for entry.

Previously, it was assumed she could not return to Indonesia because of her 2005 drug trafficking conviction in Denpasar, Bali.

Typically drug criminals are banned from re-entering Indonesia once they have completed their sentence. An example of this is Bali Nine member Renae Lawrence, who was released from prison last year and is prohibited from ever returning.

However, this does not appear to be the case for Schapelle.
