‘This year, we need the holidays more than ever’: So begins the new promotional video for iconic Canadian department store Hudson’s Bay, starring Schitt’s Creek’s Annie Murphy

Annie, 33, starts things off by mentioning just how much the holidays are needed this year, as she gets ready in the mirror.

Then, the Canadian actress appears in a lavish red room, and as she descends the grand staircase, she continues: ‘We need light! We need music! And we need a whole lotta joy.’

As everything comes to life around her, Murphy hears O’Hara, 66, calling ‘Hello?’ offscreen.

As she walks into a new snow and pine tree setting to meet her onscreen mother, Annie is now dressed in a sparkly dress, where she finds Catherine in a jacket and ribbon collar.

The Canadian ladies go on to call ‘all the deck-the-hallers’ as well as the ‘fa-la-la-la-la’ers’ as they transition into a lovely gallery environment.

There, the pair exchange gifts, as they continue to spread joy while also maintaining just a touch of that Schitt’s Creek snark viewers have grown to love.
