A school resource officer has been fired after filming a nude video of herself for her husband inside an elementary school bathroom during her shift and leaving her gun and pepper spray on the floor.

The unidentified woman is said to have made the sexually explicit video while on her lunch break at Imagine Kissimmee Charter Academy in Florida in December.

Footage shows the officer standing completely naked, saying: ‘I’m doing this for you.’ She also asks her husband what he thinks of the video.

The woman argues she had been on her break at the time the clip was taken but officials say she should have been ready to respond in case of an emergency at all times.

Kissimmee Police said the officer removed her gun and pepper spray and would not have been able to quickly react to a shooting at the school where it was her job to protect the 775 students and 65 staff members.

Their report states: ‘Even though she was on a lunch break, she was subject to recall at any time, and due to her disrobed state, it would delay any immediate response.’

She argues that she knew what she was doing was wrong but that she should not have lost her job and that the bathroom door was locked.

In the 45-second video in a single-stall officials say the woman’s pepper spray and uniform pants can be seen on the ground.

She is said to have sent an additional three pictures to her husband.

Osceola County Sheriff’s Office came across the footage after looking into a personal incident with the couple in April, Channel 9 reports.

Police chief Jeffrey O’Dell said: ‘It goes to show what that person, what kind of behavior or their lack of commitment to professionalism, providing security in schools.

‘If you’re going to do this, I’m not sure that you can be trusted at any time on duty.’

In a statement police said: ‘As soon as our agency was made aware of the video which was created by a School Resource Officer we immediately launched an investigation and removed the officer from the school campus.

‘The safety and security of our community, especially when it comes to our children, is our top priority at the Kissimmee Police Department.

‘The actions taken by this School Resource Officer on duty, while working at a school, were not a reflection of the Department’s top-most priority and as a result that person was terminated.’
