Search underway for missing horse rider, 52, who didn’t return to camp after leaving for bush ride

  • The 52-year-old was understood to have been camping near Howqua Track 
  • Other campers raised the alarm after she left Saturday and didn’t come back 
  • Local police and the police air wing conducted searches Monday and Tuesday 

A wide scale search is underway for a female horse rider who hasn’t returned from a bush ride, three days after setting off.

Narelle Davies, a 52-year-old from Mansfield, was understood to have been camping near Howqua Track, in rural Victoria, with her horse over the weekend.

Other campers raised the alarm after she left Saturday afternoon and didn’t come back to her campsite, police said.

She had been camping with her horse (pictured) over the weekend before mysteriously disappearing three days ago

Local police and the police air wing conducted searches Monday night and throughout Tuesday with the assistance of the SES.

Her vehicle and horse float remain at the camp site.
