Home stylists are wowing fans online after transforming an outdoor stool from Bunnings into a stylish end table.
Simone, from Mornington Peninsula, posted the simple DIY in a video to her popular Instagram page that has more than 18,900 followers.
She impressed her followers with her chic DIY side table she created by giving a green $79 outdoor stool a lick of white paint and said the idea was inspired by fellow Instagram home stylist, Our Coastal Haven.

Simone, from Mornington Peninsula, posted the simple DIY in a video to her popular Instagram page where she impressed her followers with her chic DIY side table she created by giving the green outdoor stool a lick of white paint
‘I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect outdoor stool but their either ridiculously prices or kinda ugly!’ Simone wrote.
‘Then I saw Our Coastal Haven do this stool hack and knew I had to try it – power of paint baby.’
In the comments, Simone explained how she gave the stool a good clean and a coat of some leftover white exterior paint to create the look.
Simone said the hack was inspired by fellow Instagram home stylist, Our Coastal Haven.
‘Oh I love! You have inspired me for when we do up our pergola area,’ one fan said.
‘Thanks for the inspiration, it looks fantastic,’ wrote a second.
Sunshine Coast styling enthusiast, Cass, who runs the Our Coastal Haven Instagram account, gave the Bunnings stool a make over using homemade textured paint.

She mixed baking powder with water-based paint to create a chic grainy texture.
Cass said she has two of the transformed stools – one in her backyard beside the fire pit and another she uses as a bedside table.
Many viewers were quick to praise the hack with more stylish DIY-ers keen to try it for themselves.
‘Absolutely incredible – I’m totally copying if that’s ok sweetheart. Been looking for an outside table forever,’ a user wrote.
