Selena Gomez joins co-star Tilda Swinton at the premiere of their new movie at Cannes Film Festival

Selena Gomez looked effortlessly chic as she joined her ethereal co-star Tilda Swinton at the premiere of their new horror flick, The Dead Don’t Die, at the opening ceremony of Cannes Film Festival held at Palais des Festivals on Tuesday. 

The Come & Get It hitmaker, 26, led the glamour in a plunging white bustier which she teamed with a matching daring slit skirt, which cinched in at the waist with an oversized silver buckle, as she walked the red carpet with the likes of Julianne Moore and Elle Fanning.  

Adding some stylish touches, the Monte Carlo actress, who is currently single, wore an eye-catching diamond on her ring finger as she accessorised her look with a matching silver choker and metallic heeled sandals. 

Selena oozed Hollywood glamour as she styled her brunette locks into a sleek sweptback bun, she added a slick of glamorous make-up which included red lipstick and winged eyeliner. 

Meanwhile, her The Dead Don’t Die co-star Tilda, 58, looked ethereal in a floor-length silver dress with the front of the garment embellished in diamonds with a statement neckline twist. 

Opting to ditch accessories and let the statement dress speak for itself, the Avengers: Endgame actress styled her cropped peroxide blonde locks into a sweptback hairdo, adding a slick of neon pink lipstick. 

Selena and Tilda were also joined by their fellow The Dead Don’t Die co-stars Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Chloë Sevigny and Luka Sabbat at the star-studded event.

Selena and Tilda joined Desperate Housewives star, Eva Longoria, 44, who stunned in a gorgeous dusty pink gown with a daring thigh-high split. 

The dress, which gathered in pleats across her left shoulder, was strapless on one side, with the beautiful silk fabric flowing to the ground.

Eva paired her statement gown, which featured a metallic panel across opposite sides of her chest and waist, with nude pointed kitten heels.

Elle, who finished off her ensemble with a bold red lip, is among among jury members at the annual event.

The Maleficent star was joined by Julianne Moore, 58, who wore a strapless jade green gown for the star-studded occasion.

Her dress featured two sheer panels of fabric which fell over her arms as she posed on the red carpet ahead of the screening of horror flick The Dead Don’t Die.

The ‘hot felon’ cut a stylish figure in a classic black suit embellished with sharp silver studs around his lapels and studded black and silver detailing on his right shoulder.

Jeremy, who is thought to be engaged to Top Shop heiress Chloe Green, competed his ensemble with a crystal-look Ankh symbol pendant. 

Germany’s Next Top Model champion Barbara Meier, 32, was also spotted on the red carpet in a sheer, silver embroidered gown with white feather detailing early on in the evening.

The Jim Jarmusch-directed film stars Disney Channel alum Selena Gomez, 26, and Star Wars actor Adam Driver, 35, as the pair fight for survival when the undead begin to plague the sleepy town of Centerville. 

The Dead Don’t Die, which is tipped for release in the UK on July 19, is in the running for numerous awards at the ten-day event, including the coveted Palme D’Or award – the highest accolade presented at the festival.

It will go up against Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time In Hollywood, starring Leonardo DiCarprio and Margot Robbie, Ken Loach’s Sorry We Missed You and 18 other hopefuls for the gong. 

The 72nd annual Cannes Film Festival will showcase 21 competition titles, plus out-of-competition, midnight and special screenings at the Palais des Festivals from Tuesday until May 25.

Mexican director Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu will preside over the panel that decides on prizes, including the top Palme D’Or award.

The jury for the festival’s 72nd edition will also include Pawel Pawlikowski, the Polish filmmaker and screenwriter named best director at Cannes last year for the impossible love story Cold War.

Maimouna N’Diaye, who has directed documentaries and acted in films such as Otar Iosseliani’s Chasing Butterflies will also sit on the panel, alongside two other female directors.

Italy’s Alicia Rohrwacher won best screenplay at Cannes last year for her film Happy as Lazzaro, a satirical fable about a peasant family.

French filmmaker Robin Campillo, who took Cannes by storm in 2017 with 120 BPM – Beats Per Minute, winning the Grand Prix for his movie about an AIDs activist, will complete the line-up.

Comic book creator Bilal, best known for his Nikopol trilogy of science fiction novels, has also directed feature films, including 2004’s Immortal, organisers said.
