Disturbing footage has emerged showing a senior constable hurl abuse at a man who called an ambulance to help his suicidal friend.
Renaud Kobrinsky was told to ‘f*** off’ when he questioned why police – not paramedics – arrived at his Melbourne home and arrested his mentally ill friend.
Video shows an officer, who identified himself as Senior Constable McLeod, scream in Mr Kobrinsky’s face as he pleaded for an explanation.
‘Walk back to your house. You are this close to getting arrested yourself… You’re hindering me,’ the officer yelled.

Mr Kobrinsky was seen backing away as he asked the officer to calm down and again questioned why his friend was handcuffed and led to a police van.
‘I am calmed down. Go and do what you’re f***ing told mate. Go and do what you’re told,’ he replied.
When Mr Kobrinsky began to film the constable’s name badge, the officer spelled it out for clarity.
‘F*** off,’ he then yelled. ‘What part of that are you having trouble with?’
Mr Kobrynski suggested the constable had an anger problem before he walked away from his home.

Earlier, police were heard threatening to break down a door to the room where the mentally ill man was hiding in Mr Kobrinsky’s home.
‘They pushed me they went inside and straight through to the room there and started yelling at him through the door,’ Mr Kobrynski told A Current Affair.
‘I said, maybe this was not the right approach at this time can we just wait for the emergency services?’
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Victoria Police for comment.

The incident comes less than three weeks after CCTV footage uncovered the horrific physical abuse and verbal torment of another mental health patient in Melbourne.
Disability pensioner John locked himself inside home when his psychologist called emergency services in October last year – concerned he may self-harm.
When police arrived, an altercation at his door step sparked a horrific 20-minute episode that would see him held down by six officers, brutally beaten with a baton, verbally abused and capsicum sprayed in the face.
‘You f***ing idiot… You like that? Smells good doesn’t,’ one officer said in the footage, obtained by Fairfax Media.

‘Get your f***ing hands behind your f***ing back,’ he continued as John screamed in agony after receiving six blows to the leg from a baton.
‘Oh God my back… My eyes… You happy? How tough are youse?’ he asked.
In a final humiliation, John was sprayed with a high-pressure hose as he sat handcuffed and in tears on his lawn.
A grinning policeman pulled out his phone to film the ordeal – and appeared to ask his colleague to continue hosing John so he could capture it on camera.
Victoria Police issued a statement after the footage emerged, saying it had ‘no tolerance for poor behaviour within its ranks’.

‘We want people to have absolute confidence that when they make a complaint against police it will be investigated thoroughly and with integrity,’ the statement read.
‘We will examine carefully any new evidence contained in today’s media reports. If matters need to be revisited, then that is what will occur.’
Three officers have since been suspended over the incident.
The case is now in the hands of Victoria’s public sector watchdog, the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission.
