Seven Mormon siblings, including injured 8-year-old in a wheelchair, are together for first time

The seven Mormon siblings who miraculously survived when cartel members attacked three cars, killing their mom and two brothers in northern Mexico, were photographed together for the first time this week.

A picture shared on the Langford’s family GoFundMe account following the November 4 tragedy on a highway in Bavispe, Sonora, showed eight-year-old Cody Langford sitting on a wheelchair surrounded by his brothers and sisters at their home in Arizona.

The injured boy was traveling in a SUV with his mother and eight siblings when members of La Línea cartel intercepted their vehicle and two other cars carrying seven other people.

Cody Langford’s mother, Dawna Ray Langford, along with his brothers Trevor Langford and Rogan Langford, were among the nine victims killed that morning.

Five of Dawna Ray Langford’s children were wounded in the attack and were airlifted to an Arizona hospital for treatment. 

Cody Langford was shot in the jaw and the right foot, and underwent two surgeries. He was the last of his siblings to be released from a Tuscon, Arizona, hospital last Saturday. 

Nine-month-old baby Brixton Langford was left with an open flesh wound from a gunshot to the chest.

Kylie Langford, 14, was shot in the foot and nine-year-old Mckenzie Rayne Langford was shot in the arm. Four-year-old Xander was shot in the back.

Devin Langford, 13, was in a car with his mother and siblings when the gunmen sprayed bullets on his family and escaped unscathed.

He was credited with hiding his siblings in the bushes and walking 13 miles to seek help. 

A video of brave Cody Langford, who jaw was wired shut after the operations, also surfaced this week. He is seen receiving assistance from a hospital physical therapist, who was monitoring his walking progress due to the wounded foot.

Another intimate video of shows the moment the boy tells his father, David Langford, that he was feeling ‘good’ just a day before he was sent home from Diamond Children’s Hospital.

Also killed in the attack was Christina Marie Langford Johnson. Rhonita María Miller LeBarón and her four children – six-month-old twins, Titus and Tiana, her 10-year-old daughter Krystal and 12-year-old son Howard – were all shot and burned in their vehicle. 

An update from the family’s GoFundMe account revealed Thursday that David Langford with be sharing the donations that have poured in following the senseless killings with the families of Langford Johnson and Miller LeBarón.

As of Friday morning, $190,175 had been donated by more than 2,700 donors across the world.
