Five children, a woman and man are rushed to hospital after a bus crashes into two parked cars – leaving nine injured

Nine people, including five children, have been injured after a bus crashed into two parked cars on Sunday.

The crash between a Queensland Translink passenger bus and two sedans resulted in a woman in her 20s suffering injuries to her arm and hip. She was rushed to hospital with three babies.

A primary school girl, a teenager and a man aged in his 50s were also taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital.

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined but the driver did take a breath test

Two other people were assessed by Queensland Ambulance Service, however, they refused transport, according to a spokesperson who spoke to the Gold Coast Bulletin.

Police have said they are still investigating the situation and have yet to determine the cause of the accident.

The driver was given a breath test at the scene.
