A new company is set to open what it claims is the first sex doll brothel in North America next month.

Aura Dolls, the company behind the brothel, plans to open its 24-hour business in a small strip mall in Toronto on September 8.

Customers will be able to pay to have sex with any of their high-tech dolls made of silicone.

The company’s website advertises it as ‘North America’s first known ‘brothel’ that offers sexual services with the world’s most beautiful silicone ladies’.

The site features images of the dolls, including their names and descriptions.

Rates vary from $80 for 30 minutes to $960 for four hours.

The mall where the brothel will be located already has a nail salon, massage parlor and a dry cleaner.

While the owners want to remain anonymous, the company’s marketing director Claire Lee told Toronto’s CityNews that the idea for the brothel originated after a visit to Japan.

Sex doll brothels already exists in parts of Europe and Asia where some have criticized it for the dehumanization of women.

‘At the end it’s just a doll,’ Lee said. ‘I see it more as a way for men to fulfill their fantasies.

She went on to suggest the service was good for men who have violent fantasies.

‘Instead of putting out the urge to act aggressively, they can do something like this which is safe for everyone,’ Lee said.

The company said even though the dolls are sanitized, they recommend the use of protection to prevent sexually transmitted diseases.

They said they were also looking to add male dolls to expand business.

Following complaints from local residents about the future business, local council members are examining city by-laws to see if they can halt the opening.

Aura Dolls said it had a license to operate in Toronto but city official say that’s not the case.

The business plans to open on September 8.
