Shane Warne’s daughter Brooke reveals how her family is coping with the loss of the cricketing legend: ‘I think about him every second’

Shane Warne’s daughter Brooke has revealed that she is still haunted by the sudden loss of her father.

The 24-year-old tells this week’s issue of Stellar Magazine that her family, including her siblings Jackson and Summer and mother Simone Callinan, have pulled together in the wake of the tragedy.

‘As a family, we’ve always stuck together. We’ve always had each other’s backs. We’re going okay’ she said.

‘Obviously, I miss him and think about him every second – that’s never going to change’ Brooke continued.

‘I think we just learn to accept life, that this is our life now, and do the best by him and make him proud… and be positive and enjoy everything. You don’t know what’s going to happen.

‘We just had to deal with what comes our way. We do it together, and that’s the important thing’.

It comes after Brooke and Summer paid loving tribute to the legendary cricketer on what would have been his 54th birthday last week.

Brooke, took to Instagram to share a photo of herself with Shane as a small child, with her offering the camera an enormous grin.

‘Your day King,’ she wrote with a love heart. ‘Happy birthday dad.’

A second photo showed her indulging in some of Shane’s favourite treats, including potato scallops, a donut, lollies and a bag of Musk sticks.

‘Birthday lunch for dad. All his faves,’ Brooke wrote.

Younger daughter Summer also shared a tribute to the late spin king.

This is the second birthday the family have endured without the late cricketer, who passed away at 52, in March last year.

Shane died just over a year ago in March 2022 of a suspected heart attack while on holiday in Thailand.
