Shanina Shaik shares her in-flight beauty regime 

Australian model Shanina Shaik spends much of her time jetting to around the world for high fashion catwalk shows or glamorous photoshoots.

And while the effects of flying take a toll, Shanina arms herself with a range of products guaranteed to leave her looking luminous after long-haul travel. 

The 27-year-old recently told Brydie that as well as drinking plenty of water, she also packs a selection of products to make sure her skin is in top condition on arrival. 

The Melbourne-born Victoria’s Secret Angel shared she was ‘big fan’ of moisturisers and facial serums and considered these her travel go-to products.

‘My favourite would be Kora – the Kora Organics Glow Face Oil [priced at $79.95]. That’s for all skin types. That’s what keeps the moisture on your face, which is important for flying.’

As well as keeping her skin hydrated, Shanina will travel with at least two mask options – Wedderspoon Raw Manuka Honey which costs $32, and an egg cream mask, priced at $24, from Korean brand Too Cool For School.

She said using a mask and then a moisturiser or serum made for a pretty simple routine, and that for extra hydration she will use a rose-hip infused face mist such as one by Juice Beauty, also a Korean brand, priced at $29.

Naturally, the top model also takes care of the delicate skin under her eyes.

Her go-to product, Crème Ancienne Supreme Eye Serum, and while it is on the pricey side at $232 Shanina said she loves the effect of the serum on her eyes.

Her favourites are Giorgio Armani’s Luminous Silk Foundation for $99 or Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser.

‘It’s very light on the face – I don’t like to create a “masked” look. I like very natural and dewy makeup,’ she said.

Shanina, who is currently preparing to marry fiancé DJ Ruckus, also shared how she keeps her skin glowing from the inside out with a diet that is high in healthy oils, greens and protein:

‘I consistently have a good diet; I eat quite well. I mainly make fish, eggs, and vegetables every day. For breakfast, I always love an omelette. That’s my favourite; it keeps me energised.

‘What you eat affects your skin, and drinking plenty of water is really important for me. I do like sweets, though, on a cheat day.’
