Shanna Moakler is set to auction off the engagement ring that was given to her by her ex-husband, Travis Barker.
The news about the 47-year-old reality television personality’s decision to sell the ring was reported by Us Weekly, and she sat down for an interview with the media outlet to explain why she chose to let go of the piece of jewelry.
The model and the drummer, 46, were married from 2004 until 2008, and they shared a son and daughter named Landon and Alabama, aged 18 and 16, and the musician served as a stepfather to his former wife’s daughter Atiana, aged 23.

Moakler began the interview by stating that Barker spared no expense and greatly impressed her with the piece of Cartier jewelry.
The media personality stated: ‘I think it is a beautiful piece and truly was my dream ring.’
The model then expressed that she wanted the ring, which is up for auction on the website Worthy.com, with a starting price of $51,000, to be given to someone who would appreciate it as she did.
‘However, that chapter of my life is over and even though wearing it at one time brought me great joy, I hope it will find a new home and continue to bring someone as much happiness as it once did to me,’ she said.

Moakler made a point of describing the ring, which features a diamond encrusted band and a solitaire stone, as ‘iconic.’
The reality television personality also expressed that she was ‘hoping it sells for $120K. It was worth about $160K.’

‘I’m sure people would assume that it’s related to the wedding, but I simply wanted to find a proper seller,’ she stated.

Moakler and Barker tied the knot in 2004, although they separated after the drummer filed for divorce two years later.
The pair appeared to have reconciled by the following year, but their marriage was formally dissolved in 2008.
The musician later began a relationship with Kardashian, 43, and they became engaged during a trip to Montecito, California last October.
The happy couple officially became married at a courthouse in Santa Barbara earlier this month, and they held an official wedding ceremony in Italy this past weekend.

Moakler gave her thoughts about the wedding during an interview with Us Weekly, where she sent her best wishes to Barker and Kardashian.
‘I wish the happy couple a lovely marriage. I will continue to only want the best for my children,’ she stated.
The model also expressed her gratitude to the couple for making their children involved in the ceremony.
‘It was a beautiful gesture to include my children in such a gorgeous affair,’ she said.
