Shark Tank stars reveal their favourite investments

They heavily scrutinise and tear down most business pitches that come before them on hit program Shark Tank.

But now each of the show’s star entrepreneurs have highlighted their picks of the bunch, who they struck a deal with and never looked back. 

The show features ‘sharks’ Naomi Simson, Steve Baxter, Dr Glen Richards and Andrew Banks – who each made their own success stories with ground-breaking business ventures.

Shark Tank gives each of them a chance to buy a stake in other budding entrepreneurs’ businesses, and further their own wealth in the process. 

Tech start-up multi-millionaire Steve said his favourite deal made on the program was with Car Next Door – a platform that allows car owners to rent out their vehicles.

‘Will Davies and Dave Trumbull are fantastic founders, they have built a solid business, they communicate well and are solving a real problem,’ Steve told The Daily Telegraph.  

Meanwhile Glen – who is a veterinary surgeon and founder of Greencross Vets – said he has a number of investments from the program that are doing well.

‘To ask to choose my favourite is a little like asking me to choose my favourite child,’ he told the newspaper.

However Glen said he is most impressed with Get Kids Cooking, which is a portable teaching kitchen for up to 30 students.

‘As I sat there wondering if the other sharks were going to steal this absolute gem from me, what the the founder didn’t know was that my husband and I have our own little vege patch and we were just about to harvest our spinach that morning — I was in,’ she told The Daily Telegraph. 

Founder of recruitment firm Morgan and Banks and Talent2International Andrew said his investment in a hotdog-hamburger hybrid – known as a Ham Dog – will be hard to beat.
