Sharon Osbourne ‘axed from X Factor after threatening to DROWN Simon Cowell’

Sharon Osbourne has reportedly been axed from ‘The X Factor’, following her explosive interview against Simon Cowell with Howard Stern earlier this month.

The TV personality, 65, was originally signed up to join Simon, 58, and new judges Ayda Field and Louis Tomlinson for the live stages of the singing competition, but has been ‘sacked’ after threatening to drown the music mogul and branding the show ‘f***ing karaoke’.

A source revealed to The Sun: ‘Sharon is going to try and spin this as her choice to leave, but after that disgusting interview there was no way Simon Cowell or the executives would have her back on the panel.’

Alongside Louis Walsh, she appeared on The X Factor when it began in 2004 with Sharon leaving in 2008 and being replaced by Cheryl.

A few years later, she returned, to replace Tulisa in 2013 and then came back again when she signed a three-year deal in 2016.

Speaking on her remarks, the insider continued: ‘Not only did she make shocking attacks on him, she slagged off the show itself and the lovely members of the public who decide to audition. Good riddance to her.’

MailOnline has contacted representatives for X Factor and Sharon for further comment.

These reports come weeks after The Talk host launched a blistering attack on the Syco executive and his new judging panel line-up with US radio host Howard, 64.

Calling the head judge a ‘f*****g pain in the a**’, the music manager also likened the X Factor hopefuls to ‘karaoke’, threatened to drown Simon and took aim at Ayda, 39.

When asked who she would save from a sinking ship, she said: ‘We would put a f***ing brick around his neck and throw him over. I will drown you motherf****r.’

Discussing Simon’s becoming a judge on America’s Got Talent, replacing Howard, the vitriolic star said: ‘Simon loves to be on TV. And he wasn’t on TV in America and he will do whatever he has to do to get that f*****g fat face on TV.’

The Osbournes star also claimed to have a clause in her contract which means her salary must equal the highest-paid judges.

She said: ‘So Simon and I have a clause in my contract, ‘favourite nations’. Simon goes to the press and goes, ‘This is the best £10 million I have ever spent’.’

‘So I go, ‘I have favourite nations, where is my f*****g £10 million? I have a clause’. I am a businesswoman.

‘But after I just said I am going to tie a brick around his neck and let him drown and now I am talking about it, he will be f****d.’

Sharon, who was replaced on the panel this year by Robbie Williams, praised the singing legend for his addition to the panel, but didn’t mince her words when it came to his wife Ayda.

She said: ‘Listen to this he has got two f*****g people in the show. He has changed the panel. Robbie Williams, he’s a good guy, and he has got his wife on.

But when asked what Ayda does, Sharon couldn’t resist taking a swipe, saying: ‘I don’t know [what she knows]. She was in a soap opera here years ago.’

The star went on to have a go at the X Factor contestants when asked why she hadn’t returned to the panel for this year’s series.

‘Oh f**k. I don’t have to have those kids singing in my face,’ she said.

‘Those little sh**s. They all suck. It is like, ‘hey is this f***ing karaoke or what?”

‘The thing is, it is the end of my contract now, it’s like no holds barred. It’s like get the f**k off the stage. You’re s**t. Get the f**k out.’

Seemingly feeling remorseful at the end of the interview, she said: ‘Will you give me a job on Monday when I get the sack?’

This year’s X Factor saw the departure of original judges Sharon and Louis Walsh, as well as Nicole Scherzinger, replaced by Robbie, Ayda and One Direction star Louis Tomlinson.

Meanwhile Louis has remained throughout, except for the 2015 season when he was swapped for DJ Nick Grimshaw, only to return again the following year alongside Sharon and on/off judge Nicole.
