Sharon Osbourne cuts a glum figure as she is seen for the first time since it was revealed her racism scandal on The Talk was ‘SET UP’

She was axed from the American show The Talk back in March.

And Sharon Osbourne, 68, cut a glum figure as she was seen for the first time in Los Angeles on Wednesday, after new tapes reveal the latest racism scandal on the talk show is believed to have been set up.

The outspoken TV personality was seen on a drive as a newly unearthed audio recording obtained by DailyMail.com reveal her co-host Elaine Welteroth said that they ‘know she’s not racist’ amid the scandal earlier this year.

She looked downcast as looked into the distance with her dark locks in disarray, after it came out that Jerry O’Connell will be her replacement on the show.

In the tape her co-host Elaine, 34, can be heard consoling a distraught Sharon moments after the TV star’s heated on-air confrontation with Sheryl Underwood.

Elaine apologised to her former co-star and reassuring her that ‘no one thinks she’s racist’ in a conversation in Sharon’s dressing room after the explosive March 10 show.

She also tells Sharon that she believes the co-hosts were ‘set up’, revealing CBS show runners initially wanted her to ask the question that sparked the entire firestorm.

The music manager left the daytime talk show in late March after a heated debate over her friend Piers Morgan saw her publicly fall out with Underwood and her other co-stars at The Talk.

The row began when Morgan stormed out of UK chat show Good Morning Britain on March 9 after saying he didn’t believe Meghan Markle was suicidal following her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.

When asked to comment on his remarks on The Talk the following day, Osbourne said that although she disagreed with Morgan, she supported his right to express his controversial opinion on TV.

Underwood pushed back hard and accused Osbourne of downplaying Morgan’s comments and giving ‘validation’ to his ‘racist’ views.

The incident sparked a wider conversation about race and an internal investigation at CBS after Elaine reportedly complained of ‘a racially insensitive and hostile environment’ at the show.
