A woman has been photographed using a laptop while driving along a busy Perth freeway.

In the image posted to social media, the woman can be seen resting her open laptop on the steering wheel as she drives her silver SUV along the Kwinana Freeway.

The image follows similar incidents, such as a female driver who was photographed allegedly smoking a meth pipe while driving along the same Perth freeway in August this year.

The public have left comments slamming the driver’s behavior on the ‘Perth – Have a Whinge’ Facebook page where the image was posted.

‘She looks comfortable doing it, like she’s done it before,’ wrote one user.

‘That’s taking it to a whole new level of stupid,’ wrote another.

Some have assumed the penalty for the offence would be similar to being caught using a mobile phone while driving, which is generally a fine of a few hundred dollars and the deduction of demerit points.

In NSW the demerit point deduction was increased in September from four to five points – or ten during double demerit periods.

Western Australia Police have not confirmed if they are investigating the incident.
