Sheridan Smith shared a sweet snap alongside her two-year-old son Billy on Monday, crading the youngster as they shared a giggle.
The actress, 41, gave a rare insight into family life by posting the shot with her 707K Instagram followers.
And it appears the little one, who she shares with former fiance Jamie Horn, is helping her prepare for upcoming West End show Shirley Valentine.
Dubbing herself and Billy ‘chief taste testers’, the pair enjoyed chips and egg for dinner – a reference to the meal her character cooks up repeatedly during the famed Will Russell penned show.
Shirley is set to take to the stage on the February 17 to portray the character at London’s Duke Of York’s Theatre.

Sheridan kept comfortable in a cable knit jumper and leggings as she held son Billy in her arms.
The youngster adorably placed both hands on his mum’s face, as she beamed at him before planting a kiss.
Sliced potatoes could be seen in the background of the snap, before she cooked them up into chips with a fried egg for Billy.
Sheridan then snapped her son eating the meal, which is a prominent part of show Shirley Valentine.

The play, which was also made into a 1989 movie with Pauline Collins, tells the story of a working class housewife from Liverpool which focuses on her dissatisfaction with life before a transformative foreign holiday.
Previously speaking about playing a mum on stage, Sheridan explained: ‘As a mum now myself I’m delighted to be playing theatre’s best-loved mum and I am honoured to be entrusted by Willy Russell to bring his Shirley to life once again in the West End.
Continuing, she promised at the time: ‘Now, to practice cooking chips and egg,’ and appears to have been busy practicing with the new snaps,

Sheridan gave birth to Billy, her first child, in May 2020 with then-fiance Jamie Horn, with whom she split last year.
And she could be on the search for love as it was reported last month that she joined celebrity dating app Raya.
Sheridan has kitted out her profile with a collection of gorgeous snaps to catch attention, according to The Sun.
‘Sheridan is going to be busy in rehearsals for her new stage show, so she hasn’t got time to be going out and trying to meet guys, swiping on an app and having quiet, intimate chats is much more suited to her lifestyle,’ a source told them.
And she’s no stranger to love in the modern age, after meeting former fiancé Jamie via Tinder in 2018.

A source told the publication: ‘Sheridan and Alex’s relationship ended a few weeks ago. There was no major drama and they both agreed their romance had run its course.
