As he made his way towards his car, the Total Recall star carried his cellphone and kept it in his hands.

Colin’s outing comes a week after it was revealed during this year’s CinemaCon in Las Vegas that a sequel to his blockbuster film The Batman is in the works.

Warner Bros. announced that Robert Pattinson, who plays the Caped Crusader, has already signed on for the project, along with director Matt Reeves.

As of now, it’s unknown whether or not Colin will reprise his role as Gotham villain The Penguin.

Reeves, 56, spoke at the presentation and confirmed he would again be writing and directing the sequel, though he didn’t share any plot details about the hotly anticipated movie.

There also wasn’t any announcement of a potential release window or a date for the start of production.

‘Thank you all for your tremendous support for The Batman,’ he said to theater owners in the audience.

‘We couldn’t have gotten here without the faith and enthusiasm of all your teams around the world. I’m excited to jump back into this world for the next chapter.’

The Batman is currently the highest-grossing film of 2022. Its box office success was somewhat surprising — despite the popularity of comic book heroes — as it features a much darker tone and visual style that other recent superhero film and boasts a luxurious three-hour runtime.

Fans of the Batman franchise will get another taste of Colin’s The Penguin portrayal in a forthcoming spinoff series centered on the Gotham villain at HBO Max.

The a straight-to series drama was officially picked up in March following The Batman’s theatrical premiere.

It will further explore the backstory of the Penguin, whose real name is Oswald Cobblepot, or Oz for short, and delve into the unscrupulous ways he influences the city of Gotham.

Colin will join The Batman director Matt Reeves, as an executive producer on the project.

‘Colin exploded off the screen as the Penguin in The Batman,’ said Reeves, ‘and having the chance to thoroughly explore the inner life of that character on HBO Max is an absolute thrill.’
