Shock as boss of Fortescue Metals Group – Andrew ‘Twiggy’ Forrest’s mining giant – quits after just six months on the job

The CEO of Andrew ‘Twiggy’ Forrest’s Fortescue Metals Group has quit the mining giant after just six months. 

Fiona Hick made a ‘joint decision’ with the company’s board to leave the business, FMG said in a statement issued on Monday. 

It comes after Forrest celebrated 20 years of the company at a party attended by the country’s political and media elite in the Pilbara, in north-west Western Australia, on Saturday.
