- The two bin men wearing hi-visibility jackets inspected the car – before driving off without leaving a note
This video shows the shocking moment a bin lorry driver crashed into a parked car and dragged it backwards – before driving off without leaving a note.
The incident happened shortly after 7.30am on Friday April 27 when residents on Picton Avenue, in Bridgend, were having their rubbish collected by Kier, a company contracted by Bridgend council.
CCTV footage showed the truck scrape the side of a red Ford and drag it along the road before reversing back.

Resident James Bertorelli captured the incident on the CCTV outside his parents’ home after a neighbour complained about the damage.
Mr Bertorelli said the collision left a large dent in the driver’s door, damaged the passenger door and scratched the entire length of the vehicle’s exterior.
The 23-year-old said: ‘I was shocked. I just couldn’t believe what I was seeing.
‘I regularly park there because it’s my parents’ house but it’s definitely going to make me think twice about leaving my car there now.
‘I think they should offer the driver [of the damaged car] a full apology.’

Bridgend council insisted the two men reported the incident to their supervisor immediately but didn’t have the relevant paperwork [to leave a note] in their lorry at the time.
A spokesman for the council said they’d logged the details of the car and taken photographic evidence.
He said: ‘Unfortunate incidents such as this are thankfully rare, but we have checked with our waste contractors, Kier, and they have confirmed that their crew took details of the car at the scene and reported it to a supervisor so that it could be followed up.
‘Kier have spoken directly with the owner of the car, and the matter is being dealt with in line with their procedures.’
Bridgend council confirmed they had spoken to Kier before releasing a statement. MailOnline have asked the firm for a further comment.
