Shocking moment Premier League stars are involved in a mass brawl at five-star Ibiza hotel

A mass brawl was sparked between a wedding party and premier league footballers at an exclusive £2,300-a-night hotel in Ibiza, it has been revealed.

The footballers had been enjoying a surprise party to celebrate Watford and ex-England midfielder Tom Cleverley’s 30th birthday when the fight began at Hotel ME.

Burnley defender Phil Bardsley, 33, who has previously knocked out ex-England captain Wayne Rooney, had to be held back as his brother Josh got involved in the brawl last Wednesday at 1am.

The football agent’s name can be heard in a video obtained by The Sun on Sunday that shows Josh being hit over the head with a pair of beach shoes before he is punched in the face.

A wicker chair is thrown and glass smashed as women shout at the men to ‘leave it’ and ‘stop it’.

Josh is then led away by Tom Cleverley who urges him to calm down.

The brawl began as the birthday party guests waited for taxis to take them to world famous nightclub Pacha.

Guests at the birthday party included Watford striker Andre Gray, 28, his teammate Will Hughes, 24, Hull City’s Liam Ridgewell, 34, and the son of ex-Man City hero Keith Curle.

Former JLS star Marvin Humes, 34, was also there. He smoked a shisha pipe as he took turns to DJ the rooftop party, according to the paper.

His wife, Rochelle Humes, 30, close friends with Cleverley’s wife Georgina — who threw the surprise birthday party — was also there.

Although many had already left, Josh, his ex-Manchester United defender brother, Alex Bruce — son of football boss and ex-Manchester United legend Steve — and Cleverley started talking to the 30-strong wedding party who were drinking nearby.

An onlooker said: ‘Some of the people in the wedding group have friends who had attended Tom’s birthday party so the two groups mixed a bit.’

The fight may have been sparked when two men from the wedding party — which included heart surgeons, bankers, and doctors — started speaking to a woman they knew from the birthday.

Josh then joined them and, according to the onlooker, said ‘something wrong’ causing one of the men to say ‘don’t speak to her like that’.

One hotel worker told The Sun on Sunday: ‘It was crazy. I’ve never seen anything like it. Chairs went flying, glasses were smashed, people punching one another.

‘It started with just a few and then got bigger and bigger as more people joined in. I’m speechless.’

The bride-to-be watched the brawl from a first floor balcony and reportedly said: ‘It’s not been the best start’.

Tom Cleverley’s club Watford FC and Phil Bardsley’s club Burnley FC have been approached for comment.

Alex Bruce declined to comment when approached by MailOnline.
