This is the shocking moment a man was violently attacked by three burglars who bundled him into a van and beating him with a weapon, leaving him blind in one eye.

The 42-year-old victim is shown being pushed into the back of the vehicle as punches and kicks rain down on him from the thugs.

He is then dragged out of the van and down a side passageway, before the men return to the scene.

The victim has described how the attack still affects him and he continues to suffer from flashbacks and bouts of depression more than a year on.

The burglars are shown entering a house before making their way towards the man as he looks in the back of a van

Police have today issued CCTV footage of the attack in Scunthorpe shortly after 8pm on April 16, 2018 as part of a renewed appeal to help find those responsible.

In an emotional appeal, the victim said: ‘I just want justice. I don’t know who did it and I don’t care what their reason was. I just want justice.

‘What happened that night still affects me. I suffer from flashbacks and depression and I am constantly looking over my shoulder.

‘It’s had a huge impact on me, my life and my livelihood. I lost my sight in my right eye and I was in pot for 11 months because of injuries to my arm.
