The man is then forced to leaping out of the path of the 18-wheeler as it is thrown through the air toward him by the oncoming train.

The spectacular crash was filmed by Chris Schlein, who was on his way to work when he witnessed the the high-speed collision.

Schlein can be heard in the cellphone footage describing the breathtaking moment the train nears the truck.

‘So this truck got stuck on the railroad. Now the railroad things are coming, here it comes,’ he said.

‘Holy f**! Oh sh**! Damn’ Schlein said as the trailer-tractor is spun off the tracks by the train.

‘That’s why you don’t f** with them goddamn railroad crossings.’

The man in the high-vis jacket, believed to be the driver, is seen walking back towards the smashed-up vehicle after the collision.

Meanwhile, the trailer lies on its side on the other side of the track.

The incident took place at the Country Lane and FM 78 crossing shortly before 8 a.m Tuesday.

According to Amtrak, there were 116 passengers on board the train traveling between Los Angeles and New Orleans via San Antonio.

Luckily, everyone escaped unscathed.

Police said the driver had been told by his dispatcher to take the route, according to Kens 5.

Officers are now advising against trailer trucks taking that route over fears more could get stuck on the tracks because they are high-centered.

They also told Kens 5 the man was driving the vehicle for Cemex.
