Shocking moment two ‘thieves’ are caught on camera ‘stealing cash from a blind busker as he plays guitar in the street’

Two thugs have been caught on film stealing from a blind busker as he played his guitar on a busy high street.

Police have arrested two men after the theft in Bangor in Gwynedd, northwest Wales, on Wednesday afternoon.

In the footage two men can be seen lurking near the busker and his guide dog before swooping in and rummaging through his guitar case.

One of the men bends down and scoops up a bundle of coins with both hands. The other then does the same.

The pair then appear to hand some of the money to the street performer.

It is not clear from the video if they pocket any of the cash themselves, but police said they were treating the incident as a theft.

North Wales Police said on Twitter: ‘We can now confirm that a second male has been arrested in connection with this incident. 

‘Huge thanks to the local community for their assistance with this – it’s very much appreciated.’

A witness told North Wales Live they were appalled by what they saw, adding: ‘I didn’t think I would ever see anything like that in my lifetime.’
