Disturbing footage has emerged of a street brawl between three women in Glasgow which was witnessed by young children.

It shows two women, neither wearing shoes, swinging another by the hair and hitting her as she lays on the floor in a pile of shopping.

A young child is heard screaming as the person recording the fight walks past the scene.

Three other women then appear and attempt to break up the fight, which carries on as the woman on the floor attempts to get free by throwing a baguette at her attackers.

One of the women who was dishing out the beating then picks up a young toddler from the pavement and walks off down the street.

It is unclear what happened to spark the fight, but the Facebook user who posted it online said they believed it was a ‘random attack’.

Police Scotland said the incident had not been reported today, but urged anyone who sees anything online which they fears is criminal conduct to contact them.

The footage has been viewed nearly 100,000 times since it was posted online last Thursday evening.
