Shopper finds angry note on boyfriend’s car swearing at them

A shopper was shocked when she discovered a potty-mouthed note branding her a ‘stupid ***bag’ for parking in a parent and child space – despite being parked in a regular bay.

Megan Duncan had popped to the shopping mall at Glasgow Fort with boyfriend Keiran Martin, 19, on September 23 to pick up a gift for her mum’s birthday.

The 18 year old was a passenger in Keiran’s car and when they arrived at the shopping mall he parked his blue Skoda Fabia in a regular parking space next to a row of parent and child bays.

But when Megan and gas and electric meter reader Keiran returned an hour later Megan was stunned to discover the vitriolic note blasting the pair for not having a child with them.

Megan from Motherwell, North Lanarkshire, said: ‘The note was under the windscreen wiper right in the middle of the windscreen.

‘My boyfriend got to the car first and looked a bit puzzled but then burst out laughing.

‘We both looked around to see if we could see who’d written it but we couldn’t see anyone.

‘When I saw it I laughed at it too, it was hilarious. It made them out to be daft for not checking if it was a parent and child space. What a clown.

‘It’s Glasgow, you need to have a sense of humour.’

The note read: ‘You forgot your child. Are you stupid. You complete ***bag. Expect a fine through the door.’

It was then signed off with a questionable doodle of a rude hand gesture with the explanation ‘big finger emoji’ next to it.

‘***bag’ is a Scottish word which means scrotum and gained global prominence after trending on Twitter last year when angry campaigners used the term to describe Donald Trump.

Scots also dubbed a particularly fierce storm which battered the country in December 2011 as ‘Hurricane ***bag’.

Railway planning assistant Megan first noticed something on the car when she spotted a fellow shopper leaning over their car and chuckling to himself.

Megan said: ‘We were parked in a standard space directly next to a row of five parent and child spaces.

18-year-old Megan from Motherwell, North Lanarkshire, (above) said she was frustrated by the note as she believes parking in spaces allocated for having a child is as bad as wrongly parking in a disabled spot. She added: 'If I had the chance to speak to whoever wrote this I would just rephrase it as they clearly forgot to check it was a parent and child space'

‘As we walked back to the car we noticed a guy parked in one of the parent and child spaces leaning over and looking at the windscreen.

‘We automatically thought to check for any scratches or dents but as we got closer we could see he was laughing.

‘At the bottom of the note is what’s supposed to be a middle finger but it looks like a toe. The drawing is that bad they’ve had to explain what it is.

‘It looks like the note’s been written on a page that’s been ripped out of a calendar book. Who carries one of those and a pen round with them in their car?

‘I think people have just too much time on their hands.’

Megan said she was particularly frustrated by the note as she believes parking in these allocated spaces without having a child is as bad as wrongly parking in a disabled spot.

Megan said: ‘Parking in a parent and child space is just as bad as parking in a disabled space without a disabled badge.

‘I’ve been out with friends who’ve found it really hard to get their children in and out of the car as it is, especially if they have a car seat.

‘If I had the chance to speak to whoever wrote this I would just rephrase it as they clearly forgot to check it was a parent and child space.

‘I’d ask them ‘are YOU stupid? You complete ***bag.’
