Australians are turning their backyards into a tranquil oasis thanks to a new light up palm tree from Bunnings Warehouse.

Shopper Jen, from Victoria, spotted the item on store shelves from the half-price section for $65.

‘Went to Bunnings for a tarp…came home with a light up palm tree!’ she wrote online and posted images to a popular Facebook group.

Lifestyle blogger Karen, who goes by the Instagram name Daisy Chains and Picnics, also shared images relaxing on a poolside chair under the artificial palm tree and sipping a coconut drink.

‘Totally in love with my new Lytworx palm trees!’ she captioned the post.

Karen placed two palm trees in each corner of her backyard which illuminated the hedged fencing well.
