‘Not sure where to post this but…in 2018, would I get in bother if I didn’t wear a bra to work?
‘I just find them uncomfortable and I think everyone is well aware that people have nipples,’ she continued, adding she is not foregoing underwear for attention but because she feels women shouldn’t be ‘forced to wear’ a bra.
‘I shouldn’t have to wear something just because it will make people feel less uncomfortable or to stop men looking – does anyone else agree?
‘Or am I a hippy that wishes to burn all bras?’
A number of forum members assured the poster she could not be reprimanded for going bra-free, saying ‘It’s your choice’.
‘The only difference between women and men is ours have a higher fat percentage and can produce milk – it’s not fair that men can show their nipples off no problem!’ One woman said.
‘I never wear a bra and I don’t give a s**t who care – it’s my body, my life, and I will do what I want. I see men’s nipples all the time and they’re not always pretty!’
Some commented suggesting the woman should wear a soft vest top or wire-free sports bra instead of traditional bras if comfort is the main issue.

But others deemed the move ‘completely inappropriate’ for work environments.
‘I don’t think it’s right to think [that] it’s no big thing seeing someone’s nipples just because we all have them – where would it end?
‘You could have naturists or nudists in the workplace wanting to cut about in the scud using the same reasoning.’
One skeptical user asked: ‘How uncomfortable could you possibly find a bra? Maybe you should need to invest in a more comfortable one?’
‘The fact you are asking here suggests you may have already gone beyond what your employer might find acceptable in their workplace,’ one user replied.
Some users deemed the move inappropriate int he context of the work environment, with a few suggesting more comfortable options like sports bras and soft vest tops
Men also waded into the debate, offering controversial viewpoints like the one pictured
A number of users penned strongly worded responses, referencing the current social climate of high-level political correctness.
‘Women can’t have it all ways. Walking around hanging out and [being] offended when men look, but then also [being] offended when they don’t get attention they actually want – soon we will expect men to walk around with their eyes closed in case we feel judged!,’ one female user wrote.
Men also waded into the debate, with one saying: ‘As a bloke who loves breasts, I say wear one please – you would be getting blokes into trouble through no fault of their own (sic). Remain professional at work.’
