For a lot of parents, publicly documenting their child’s age and development is par for the course.

And even if you don’t have kids, a quick scroll through Instagram or Twitter is likely to pull up at least one picture of a baby posing alongside an artfully arranged digit displaying their age.

But instead of giving their sister the token double tap like, a couple of siblings decided to poke fun at the relatively new trend by staging some age pictures of their own and posting the results to Twitter

Posting a collage of pictures, user @yawnniing can be seen clutching a bottle of wine with flakes of Honey Bunches of Oats cereal spelling out her age, 23, while her older brother is curled up in the fetal position next to cotton calls spelling out the number 31.

She captioned the shot with: ‘My sister took this cute picture to commemorate my nieces 1st month alive & this was my family’s response’ referring to an adorable picture of her one-month-old niece, posing beside several flowers spelling out the number one.

A couple of days later she posed even more pictures, this time showing a man posing in a towel beside beauty products spelling out the number 25, and another woman posing alongside diapers spelling out 34 in one picture.

In another the woman can be seen posing beside vitamin bottles and a large water bottle spelling out a question mark.

And while most parents might find the mocking tone offensive, Twitter has been lapping the trolling up, taking to the comments section to voice its appreciation.

Twitter user @Alexxx4L wrote: ‘I wouldn’t be surprised if this catches fire. Then we’ll see pictures everywhere, hahaha. It’s hilarious’.

While @iUsed2bFamous typed: ‘I love it! I want to be apart of the family!!!’

A sentiment shared by @coffeeinmyleft who asked: ‘Where can I submit my application to be a part of your family?’

And the idea has even inspired stranger to share their recreations with Twitter user @QuintaBnStuff posting a side-by-side of her dad Alan copying his granddaughter Nayla posing on the floor beside letters spelling out her name.
