Simon Cowell showcases his slimmed down physique in buttoned down white shirt

He has been busy in recent weeks filming the auditions for the upcoming series of Britain’s Got Talent.

And Simon Cowell continued to display his weight loss as he arrived at the BBC studios in White City, London on Thursday.

The music mogul, 60, looked svelte as ever as he showcased his slimmed down frame in a crisp white shirt and a pair of black trousers.

The TV star also wore a large black coat and matching shoes, completing his look for the day with a pair of shades.

Simon looked in good spirits as he chatted with a group outside the studio in the afternoon.

Simon has been busy with auditions lately, recently filming in both the London Palladium and The Lowry in Manchester.

On his diet, Simon has cut out dairy, sugar, bread, gluten, and meat in an effort to adopt a healthier lifestyle.

The BGT judge admitted during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that he drastically changed his diet so he could keep up with his son Eric, five.

He said: ‘I went to see this doctor in London. We did some tests. And then a month later he said, “You have the worst diet I’ve ever met from any patient.”

‘So I went, “Okay, out of the smoking, the drinking, and diet, what do I have to drop?” And he said, “The diet.” So I said, “I’m in!”

‘It was easier than I thought, and part of the reason I did it was because of Eric. I realised if I didn’t sort myself out physically, I wouldn’t be able to catch up with him.

‘Because the minute he gets up to the minute he goes to sleep … their energy, you forget, at five years old, is phenomenal.’

Simon previously said he’d named his diet the Eric Cowell diet after his son, because the youngster loves to munch on raw vegetables.

He said: ‘It’s like the Eric diet because he actually, apart from ice cream, he actually likes water. I mean, who likes water? And his raw vegetables. So I’m on like, the Eric Cowell diet.’

Simon’s outing in London comes after the news that he is set to be sued by a fellow America’s Got Talent judge who claims he risked her health by smoking on set.

Actress Gabrielle Union, 47, is understood to be preparing a lawsuit accusing Simon of ‘endangering her life’ because of his habit.

She was axed from the show last November, sparking a racism row when she alleged production staff told her that her hairstyle and clothes were ‘too black’.

Gabrielle also claimed that the working environment on the talent show, which attracts around ten million viewers, was ‘toxic’.

Sources close to the actress said she has settled her dispute with America’s NBC network and Syco, Simon’s entertainment empire, over her departure.

But she furiously claimed that Simon exposed her to the dangers of passive smoking – so is planning the new lawsuit against him personally.

An insider told The Mail on Sunday: ‘Gabrielle was always cross that Simon would smoke when the cameras weren’t running.

‘For her, this is a big deal. She believes his smoking has put her life in danger. It can cause cancer and she doesn’t think she deserves to have been at risk when she was at work. This lawsuit will be sent to Simon at any moment. She is determined to see this one through.’

California has strict anti-smoking laws that bans employers from ‘knowingly or intentionally permitting… the smoking of tobacco products in an enclosed place of employment’.

Simon has made no secret of his struggle to kick his habit which at one point saw him smoking up to 80 cigarettes a day.

He tried to quit in 2017 after a fall at his West London home but was seen puffing away the following year. At the time, he said: ‘If I tried to cut out cigarettes completely, I would have a real problem: too boring.’

His spokesman declined to comment on Gabrielle’s new complaint.

NBC has yet to officially release the findings of its formal investigation into Ms Union’s complaints about troubling behaviour on the set of American’s Got Talent, but the network has said it was taking them seriously.
