Simon Le Bon and wife Yasmin to extend their 10-bed house… because their daughters won’t move out

TALK OF THE TOWN: Duran Duran star Simon Le Bon and model wife Yasmin get permission to extend their 10-bed house… because their daughters refuse to move out

Duran Duran star Simon Le Bon and his model wife Yasmin have been given permission to extend their ten-bedroom, multi-million-pound London home by a third of its existing size – because they can’t get their children to leave home.

Daughters Amber, 31, Saffron, 29, and Tallulah, 26, are refusing to move out of their family pad – but mum and dad don’t seem to mind.

‘Somehow we have created this home that no one wants to leave,’ says Yasmin, 56.

‘It’s the opposite of what you’re meant to do but I love having the children around.

‘During lockdown we’d have lunch every day in the garden.

‘It was great, though I’m sure the neighbours thought we were having parties.’

Charlotte’s wedding will be such a drag

After announcing her engagement last month, Charlotte Freud is planning her nuptials – and there are surprises in store for her rich and famous family.

The 20-year-old daughter of media executive Lis Murdoch and PR supremo Matthew Freud – and granddaughter of tycoon Rupert Murdoch – is to have a ‘drag maid of honour’.

Charlotte and musician fiance Luke Storey, 35, have set a date next summer for a ‘backyard wedding’ with limited guest numbers.

In what appeared to be a nod to feminism, Charlotte said she wasn’t sure she’d take Luke’s surname – only to spoil the moment by admitting this was because ‘I don’t know if I can be a**** with the paperwork’.

How romantic.
