Simone Anderson, 29, shows off her incredible body after losing 92 kilograms

Simone Anderson, from Auckland, New Zealand, has shown off her incredible body transformation after losing a staggering 92 kilograms, and revealed how she had to completely ‘re-invent’ her eating habits in order to get healthy.

The 29-year-old reflected on how far she has come over the past six years, after she first made headlines across the world for her jaw-dropping weight loss, and has since documented the rewarding moments and the painful challenges on social media.

‘Reflecting on the past nearly six years always brings a few surreal feelings,’ Simone posted on Instagram alongside a comparison photo of herself in 2014 and now.

‘The girl in the left used to struggle to walk up her own driveway, a 20-minute walk ruined her.’

Simone continued: ‘Fast food was the base of her diet and 99 per cent of her meals were heavily processed.

‘Fast forward to today, I have lost a total of 92 kilograms and train daily,’ she said.

‘I eat balanced and fresh meals and enjoy watching how strong and fit I become every single day.’

When Simone took charge of her weight, she said she tipped the scales at 169 kilograms and opted to get gastric sleeve surgery to help her in her quest to be healthy.

Gastric sleeve surgery involves removing a piece of someone’s stomach somewhere between 60 and 90 per cent, depending on your size.

‘I lost half my body weight, [but] my weight never defined me as a person, I was still the same bubbly, outgoing, driven and organised Simone but it definitely limited the life I could live,’ Simone said.

‘Gastric sleeve surgery saved my life, I don’t believe I would be alive today without this life-changing surgery.’

Simone said the surgery gave her the ‘tools’ to ‘reinvent my eating’ and her exercise habits.

She learned that she couldn’t survive off a diet of processed foods and soft drinks, but rather needed to nourish her body with wholefoods and plenty of water.

‘I was not perfect, I had things like Weight Watchers jelly to substitute that sweet craving going on,’ she previously said.

But her eating habits had changed, and she coupled this with a dedicated attitude towards fitness where she worked out daily.

Several years after she lost the bulk of the weight, the 29-year-old said it has become a way of life to eat clean 80 per cent and work out daily.

Simone has also had a nine-hour surgery that cost $20,000 to remove all of the excess skin that was left from her weight loss.

‘I went to America to see Dr Repta to have my plastics done. So I’ve had a breast lift and breast augmentation, I’ve had a tummy tuck and I’ve had a braline backlift. I can’t recommend him more. His work is flawless and his results speak for himself,’ she said.

Since then, Simone has continued to share her story on social media, offering advice and support for others in the midst of a weight loss journey.

‘I love the fact that you always had such a great attitude – showing self love and not self loathing as is often documented in “transformations”,’ one woman commented underneath her latest transformation snap.

‘Don’t ever go back to the unhealthy lifestyle!!! However you are beautiful anyways,’ another added.
