It’s been eight years since TV star Charlotte Dawson tragically took her own life. 

And on Thursday, her ‘adopted daughter’ Simone Holtznagel posted a heartbreaking tribute to her Australia’s Next Top Model mentor. 

Simone, 28, shared a black and white photo of herself, Charlotte and fellow ANTM contestant Maddy Huett, which was taken during filming for the 2011 series.

‘8 years on, still totally heartbroken,’ Simone wrote in the caption.

Simone, who is currently starring on SAS Australia, received an outpouring of support from her close friends and followers.

‘Love you . She’s your angel looking over you,’ wrote PR mogul Jackie Gillies.

‘I feel you. A one in a million human,’ said TV presenter Danny Clayton.

Model Riana Crehan added: ‘Love to you’.
