Sir Lenny Henry continues to show off his MUCH slimmer frame at the Sky Arts Awards

Sir Lenny Henry has made several appearances out and about lately, having been previously staying out of the spotlight during his recent fitness kick.

And having lost three stone in weight, the comedian, 59, continued to show off his much svelter frame as he attended Sunday’s Sky Arts Awards in London.

Lenny held hands with Lisa Makin at the event, and grinned from ear-to-ear in a skinny-fit black suit, an open-collar white shirt and a summery straw boater hat.

The Chef! star completed the look with black and white Converse shoes, adding a casual edge to the ensemble.

His girlfriend Lisa, who has been dating Lenny since 2013, wore an olive green gress with a statement necklace and nude pumps.

Her boyfriend Lenny shocked fans with his slim down earlier this month – having embarked on a strict fitness regime and diet after being told he was ‘a little bit diabetic’.

He went hat-less and a little smarter on Tuesday, seen arriving for the reception for the Queen’s Young Leaders for 2018 at Buckingham Palace sporting a freshly shaved head and thick sideburns.

But the Broadchurch star’s strikingly different physique is what really caught onlookers’ attention.

The actor first turned heads with his slimmer frame at the Unsung Heroines: The Lost World of Female Composers premiere, held at Soho House, earlier this month.

Lenny – who has always been a towering man at 6 ft 2 in – looked much lither than normal as he posed with the likes of director Guy Evans, broadcaster Melvyn Bragg, musician Julian Lloyd Webber and soprano Danielle de Niese.

Last week, the Comic Relief founder revealed he has lost more than three stone, thanks to a vegetable-based diet and long runs.

He told The Mail On Sunday: ‘What’s my secret? Well, it’s eating broccoli and not much else. I’ve also been running a lot. It has worked!’

The comedian has been looking to lose weight since 2014, when he admitted he was ‘a little bit diabetic’ and vowed to cut out alcohol and biscuits.

Lenny attended the formal occasion, hosted by the Queen, with the likes of David Beckham, Sir John Major, Nicola Adams and Ore Oduda.
