They have been together for a whopping nineteen years, and tied the knot back in 2007.

And Sir Rod Stewart, 73, and his wife Penny Lancaster, 47, clearly do everything together, as they headed to the BBC Studios in London so that they could see the singing legend’s pal Tommy Steele on The One Show.

The couple looked as loved-up as ever as they arrived at the studios holding hands on Wednesday, and the pair were sure to stand out thanks to their glamorous attire.

Rod opted for a not so subtle all-white outfit that saw him don a lace-trim shirt over casual suit trousers, which he paired with a blazer and matching Adidas trainers.

Keeping the collar of his shirt partially unbuttoned, the rock legend accessorised with a pair of dangling necklaces that added a punk chic flair to his look.

Showcasing his signature eccentric style, the Forever Young hitmaker wore his silver locks in a spiky up-do.

Penny maintained her sophisticated appearance in a colourful exotic print dress, which featured a flared blue trim at the bottom.

Styling her blonde locks into loose waves and parted down the middle, the beauty brushed on light touches of make-up so that she could rely on her natural features.

She stepped out in a pair of black ballerina shoes, and Penny kept her personal belongings in a brown handbag which she had slung across one shoulder.

The couple, who married in 2007, have been together for almost twenty years, and share two children together – sons Alastair, 12, and Aiden, seven.

While he is now happily settled with Penny, Rod recently revealed he was something of a womanizer during the 60s and 70s, while part of rock group Faces.

Speaking to the Mirror, he said: ‘Women literally used to throw themselves at us. It really was, ‘Oh not again tonight, Ronnie’ [Wood, his bandmate].

‘It has changed. I can only speak from my perspective, but as a rock and roll singer, I used to show off with the girls.’

However, the Handbags and Gladrags hitmaker said he always behaved like a gentleman to his numerous conquests.

‘I would never touch a girl unless she wanted me to,’ he added, ‘things have changed. You could get away with a bit more in those days than you can now and things have changed for the good.’
