Sixteen revellers have been arrested at an out-of-control party where there were up to 150 people, some armed with knives.

Officers were called to Mokutu Court at Quinns Rocks in the city’s outer north about 11.15pm on Saturday to reports of people in the street.

When police arrived, they spoke to the owner of the residence who had started asking people to leave. Officers monitored about 150 people at the property.

More calls were made to police when people started to become violent in the street.

The party was declared ‘out-of-control’ when some of them turned on the police, with some revellers throwing objects at officers.

No officer was injured, but a police car window was damaged.

In Seven News video footage taken at the scene, police officers can be seen chasing people down the street on foot.

The footage also shows various revellers handcuffed and and taken into police custody.

Of the 16 arrested, one male was arrested for disorderly behaviour, two people were arrested for the car damage and police issued 11 juvenile cautions and one infringement notice.
