‘I have used this cleanser for 3 months now and it has made a drastic difference to my skin! I tried going back to finish off my old cleanser for 5 days and developed little pimples on my face. Switched back to Eve Lom and within 3 days back to clear skin,’ a customer wrote.

The downside: ‘I used this product for many months as I thought it would help my combination/oily skin. It thoroughly cleaned makeup off my face however I also felt like it left a thin coating on my skin after use. I felt that this product caused my skin to breakout,’ one customer wrote.

2. MARIO BADESCU DRYING LOTION

Since Kylie Jenner came out and praised this as her go-to acne clearing product, it has been flying off the shelves.

And it’s not just the celebrity endorsement that has seen its popularity skyrocket, with the $24 lotion receiving 410 five-star reviews and 188 four-star reviews.

The Drying Lotion is made with a blend of calamine and salicylic acid to clear up and soothe unsightly whiteheads overnight and promises to ‘heal and dry’ pimples quickly.

‘I have been using this product for over a year and I could never go without it. I don’t have bad acne but I will get the occasional pimple. I use a cotton bud to apply the product directly to my pimple and leave it overnight, by morning the pimple is reduced in size and less red,’ one customer wrote.

The downside: ‘It made zero improvement to my skin unfortunately but my skin doesn’t usually respond well to non-prescription acne/pimple products so it may work for others,’ a customer wrote.
