Slain bikie who bragged about stacks of cash, was in so much debt he couldnt afford his funeral

Rebels motorcycle gang enforcer Ricky Ciano didn’t even have enough money to cover the costs of his funeral, despite appearing to live a life of luxury.

Ciano, 35, was given a lethal cocktail of prescription and illicit drugs and his body was dumped inside a $130,000 BMW on February 14 last year near Oberon, in the NSW Central Tablelands, two days after his wife reported him missing.

After his death, a bitter feud erupted between his bikini model wife Rachel Ciano, and ex-wife Bianca Barnier, the mother of his first child.

The pair were struggling to come to an agreement on dividing Ciano’s assets after Mrs Ciano was unable to locate the original copy of his will.

But the Supreme Court has now heard Ciano was in debt and hadn’t a cent to his name when his body was found, The Gold Coast Bulletin reported.

The infamous bikie, who often flashed stacks of cash, donned Rolex watches and claimed ownership of hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of vehicles, wasn’t even in a position to cover the cost of his $15,980 funeral.

Administrator Prudence Poole told the court Ciano’s estate is insolvent, and has $467,000 that cannot be paid.

She did find $11,091 cash to Ciano’s name, but wants permission to give $2,770 of that to his father Tony to repay a portion of the funds he used for his son’s funeral.

The rest, she says, should go to the lawyers for the estate.

Ciano’s father previously told the court Ciano’s assets included ‘approximately $100,000 in cash’ that he kept at his house, a Range Rover worth $200,000, a 2013 Harley-Davidson ‘Night Rod’ motorcycle, at least four Rolex watches, and the $100,000 BMW he was found dead in.

But Ms Poole told the court those possessions had either been repossessed prior to his death, were owned by other people, or had been stolen.

Mrs Ciano, a former bikini model, was under the impression that he had left everything save $10,000 to her.

She intended to give the $10,000 to his daughter Imogen, who he shared with his previous wife.

Ms Barnier, who was married to Mr Ciano for seven years, previously told the court her ex husband had ‘taken out a $1 million insurance policy’ about a year before he died which was to be split between Imogen and Ms Ciano.

She said Mrs Ciano told her after Mr Ciano died that the policy had lapsed.
