Although, unlike a tea towel, the tightly woven fabric remains snug around the slow cooker lid to prevent the material coming in contact with the food while cooking.

The Facebook page titled Slow Cooker Covers 4 Sale Australia specifically makes the homemade covers in varied patterns, including blue fish, red apples and pink butterflies.

Different covers are also available depending on the size and shape of the slow cooker – extra large rectangle covers are priced at $12 and small round covers are priced at $5 from this specific retailer.
