Video footage has emerged showing a couple of NYPD officers in uniform having a hookah smoke break out of the open window of a squad car.
The footage posted online Tuesday shows the unidentified cops puffing on a wooden pipe connected by a hose to the hookah’s burner and water pipe, which are concealed inside the marked vehicle, WorldStarHipHop reported.
The video includes a humorous comment about the scene, ‘bro I have seen it all,’ and adds the remark, ‘only in ny’.
The time, date and location of the smoke break is not mentioned, and the officers do not appear to realize they are being filmed from a building window overhead.

The NYPD’s patrol guide section of ‘prohibited conduct,’ indicates that ‘smoking in public view while in uniform’ is not allowed.
A department spokesperson said that one of the officers was not ‘modified,’ when DailyMail.com reached out, but did not indicate who they were speaking about.
The spokesperson declined to provide more information.
Hookahs typically use hot charcoal to burn tobacco and are a common sight in social lounges across the city.
The smoking footage comes as lawmakers in more than a dozen US cities responded to George Floyd’s killing in Minneapolis with proposals to reform policing by defunding departments and reallocating financial resources to social needs and programs.
New York’s response on July 1 was to slash $1billion from the NYPD budget in the face of objections from department supporters who argued the cuts would lead to more crime.

His death cost Officer Derek Chauvin his job and got him charged with murder and sparked protests for an end to police brutality and systematic racism across the country.
