More than 125,000 Snapchat users worldwide complained of technical issues with the social media platform on Thursday evening.
Users have reported instances of the app crashing every time they try to open it.
Snapchat acknowledged the issue and said it is working to find a solution.
‘We’re aware of an issue preventing some Snapchatters from logging in. Hang tight, we are looking into it and working on a fix!’ the company’s support staff tweeted just before 7pm EST.
The sweeping outages appeared to still be at play as of 10.30pm.
